17. June 2019
18:00 – 21:00

Summary

Che will talk about the Coalition to Fight Financial Crime founded by Europol, Refinitiv and the World Economic Forum.  Further to that through different initiatives Refinitiv has managed to change legislation, to introduce non-legislative amendments and to shape the debate among governmental, corporate and non-governmental organisations. These are tremendously timely initiatives, given recent developments that have shown financial crime is a threat to the integrity of the banking system itself.

Keynote Speaker: Che Sidanius

Che Sidanius is Global Head of Financial Crime & Industry Affairs. His role is to manage how regulatory changes around financial crime affect Refinitiv’s Risk & Supply business globally. He leads public and private sector initiatives on combating financial crime including money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud. His previous experiences include working at Big 4 consultancies within Capital Markets Advisory, as a Senior Advisor at the Bank of England, and a Senior Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York during the 2007-09 financial crisis.
